Family Health on Highway is a full fee clinic. Payment in full is required on the day of your consultation – we have cash and EFTPOS services available. 

Medicare Patients

All patients (including health-care/pension card holders and children) will be charged a full fee for their first appointment at the practice.

After the initial consult, patients 12 and under will be bulk billed.

Please note failure to keep appointments may incur a fee of $80.

Medicare rebates are reimbursed to you in 1 of 3 ways:

1. A physical debit card – with a savings account attached.
2. The nominated bank account that is linked to your Medicare.
3. A different bank account – BSB and Account Details must be provided.

Fees for medicare patients are as follows:

• Standard consult – $115.00 (Rebate – $45.05, Out of Pocket Cost – $69.95)
• Long consult – $180.00 (Rebate – $87.10, Out of Pocket Cost – $92.90)
• Phone Consult – $115.00.00(Rebate – $45.05 Out of Pocket Cost – $69.95)

Fees for pensioners and health care card holders:

• Standard consult – $90.00 (Rebate – $45.05, Out of Pocket Cost – $44.95)
• Long consult – $150.00 (Rebate – $87.10, Out of Pocket Cost – $62.90)
• Phone Consult – $90.00 (Rebate – $45.05, Out of Pocket Cost – $44.95)

Please be advised that appointments cancelled less than 2 hours before the scheduled time, as well as no-shows will incur a non-rebatable fee at our medical centre of $80+gst.

Private Consults (No Medicare)

Private patients and those without Medicare will pay the same rates, in full. The reception staff will then provide you with the EFTPOS receipt and a tax invoice which can be supplied to your own respective Private Health Fund (if applicable).

Please note we do not take Private Health Funds at our practice – all claiming must be done by the patient.

Other Services

Certain procedures and examination may incur additional fees:

• Skin Procedure – Removal of moles/excision – from $180.00 – $250.00. Please note this is a private fee, and cannot be claimed with Medicare.
• Mental health care plan – $202.80 (Medicare rebate $160.50)
• Implanon insertion – $200 gap +consult for Implanon removal – $69.95 gap (+ consult fee).
• Iron Infusion – $200.00. Please note this is a private fee, and cannot be claimed with Medicare.
• Work cover – please contact us for exact costs
• Motor vehicle accident – please contact us for exact costs
• Pre-employment/insurance medical examination – please contact us for exact costs
• Dressings – $25.00
• Other procedures – starting from $150.00
